The death of a worker crushed under a 31-tonne concrete beam has led to two firms being fined a total of £130,000, plus costs.
Gary Drinkald, 43, from Aylesbury, was crushed after the concrete beam taken from the bridge fell from the back of a low-loader lorry.
Micor, the main contractor, admitted breaches relating to lifting operations, and was fined £100,000 with an order to pay £20,000 in costs.
Crane and Transport Services, which provided staff to supervise the lifting operation, also admitted to breaches and was fined £30,000, and £10,000 in costs.
