Worker dies crushing aerosol canisters

Two companies and a manager have been fined a total of £440,000 after a worker suffered 90 per cent burns and died, when the aerosol canisters he was crushing caught fire.

Worker loses fingers in accident

Komatsu UK Ltd Birtley has been fined after an employee lost two fingers when his right hand became caught in the rotating parts of the machine he was using.

BT fined following fatal ladder fall

BT has been fined £300,000 following the death of a worker who fell from a ladder while carrying out installation works. Two wooden ladders found at the scene had not been subject to an annual inspection, contrary to BT's own health and safety policy.
