Michael Patrick O'Brien, of Corbyn Crescent, Shoreham-by-Sea was killed setting up the ride at Bassetts Park, Wellingborough - the ride landed on top of him, trapping him beneath the rear wheels.
The Northants Evening Telegraph reported that "organisers vowed it would go on because it was what he would have wanted" and fair organiser Charmaine Stevens said “we had a minute’s silence in memory of Patrick which everyone observed really well. We have got a book of condolence and people have been signing it.”
