On Friday 5 November 2010, a lorry fell from the A244 (Warren Lane) road bridge which crosses over the railway at Oxshott, Surrey.  The lorry, which was loaded with wet concrete, struck the roof of a train passing beneath the bridge.  The rear three carriages of the train were damaged and the rear-most carriage of the train also derailed.  One passenger, sitting directly beneath the point of impact, was seriously injured, and five other passengers received minor injuries.  No other trains were involved.

The lorry collided with the bridge parapet, causing it to collapse and allowing the lorry and parts of the parapet to fall onto the railway.
